March 20th: First day of Spring

* I've been feeling a little under the weather from allergy and sinus issues, so I may take a few days off of the blog (life with year long allergies and sinues). Thanks for understanding!  Also, my mama bought me a stuffed rabbit and a Milani Blush since I'm not feeling well. What sweet gifts!

Easter Makeup: Natural Look with a Pop of Color

Hello Everyone!

Since Easter is on Sunday, I wanted to share this makeup look that I created yesterday. This is the type of makeup that can be worn for Easter or a Springtime look. For this makeup look, I went for a natural look with a pop of color for eyeshadow.

BH Cosmetics Cool Shimmer 88 Color Palette and NYX Eyeshadow Base in Pearl (eyeshadow base not shown)

This palette is one of my favorite palettes to use during the Spring and Summer.

I used two different shades of blue for my eyeshadow.  The lighter blue shade I used on  my lids, and I used a darker shade for the outer V and in the crease. To finish the eye makeup, I used a liquid eyeliner from Wet n Wild to line my eyes and a black mascara from Maybelline for my lashes.

For my face, I used Fashion Fair products for my  foundation and face powder. I did add a slight pop of color to my cheeks with BH Cosmetics Rose Blush Duos. Since this is a natural look, I used Milani's Nude Creme on my lips.

For all that celebrate, I'm wishing you a wonderful Easter!

Tree Hut Goodies

Hello Everyone!

Spring means warmer weather, and warmer weather means showing more skin. Here are some products from Tree Hut that I will be using to prep my skin for the warmer months!

Bath and shower time is pretty sacred to me lol. I love products that smell amazing and keep my skin looking healthy. I've been a major fan of Tree Hut's scubs since I started using them 2 years ago.  I did a Tree Hut Body Wash Haul last Summer and I tried the Almond and Honey Body Wash. It instantly became one of my favorite scents! I use the body wash when I take my showers, but I also like to add the body wash to my bath water.

I was unaware that Tree Hut started selling bath bombs! I have Morracan Rose, and it smells wonderful!

Just because the weather is about to get warmer doesn't mean I'm going to stop using my body butters. These body butters aren't too heavy feeling on my skin. Tropical Mango is another one of my favorite scents.  It's a perfect scent that I love wearing the warmer months.  Now my favorite scent even comes in a hydrating hair and skin mist!

I've been getting questions about where to find some of these products. I've gotten some of my Tree Hut products from Ulta, Walmart, Target, and Publix (if you live in a state that has a Publix, you should be able to find some products)

My Favorite Derma E Face Products

Hello Everyone!

This post contains a *PR Sample from Derma E

One of my favorite skincare brands includes Derma E. Since I became an Derma E Ambassador last year, I've had opportunities to try some amazing skincare products, especially for my face. I want to share a few of favorite Derma E products. This post is basically a review/my thoughts on some of my previous Derma E posts.

My Thoughts

I use many different cleansers for my face, but this is the first time I've used a micellar water. My face feels so rejuvenated after using this cleansing water. I live in the South were it's hot and humid so this cleansing water is just what I need to keep my face feeling refreshed and hydrated.  I love how this product contains Vitamin C since Vitamin C has nutrients that are good for your skin (and in general). I haven't been wearing makeup that much since it's been so hot, but when I do this cleasing water. I also love that you don't have to rinse your face after usage, and scent smells amazing. I think it's safe to say this is one of my holy grail products right now. See my full review HERE

My Thoughts

Derma E has yet to fail me on their cleansers. This cleanser works so well on my face and neck, and it smells pretty good too! At first I thought this was more of a gel cleanser since the texture is thick, but once applied the cleanser is applied to my face and neck it feels lightweight. One pump goes a long way when using this cleanser.  If I'm wearing makeupAfter I remove my makeup, I use two pumps to thoroughly cleanse my face and neck.

I love that my skin feels hydrated after using this cleanser since some cleasners leave my skin feel dry after usage. One of the best feelings in my opinion about skincare is to have hydtated skin. I noticed a few weeks ago that I had a dry patch on my face, but since I started using this cleanser the dry patch has cleared. See my full review HERE

My Thoughts

Charcoal masks are my absolute favorites types of masks to use and this masks leaves my skin looking glowing and makes my skin feel refreshed.  Since my skin tends to get oily during the Summer, I think this mask will help reduce oil. I love that this is a gentle exfoiating mask so it doesn't irritate my skin. See my full review HERE

I mentioned in the beginning of the post that this is a review/my thoughts of my previous Derma E posts. Outside of receiving these products for review, I also purchased them. This is is my 3rd bottle of Micellar Water (and I'm almost finished with it) and my 4th Derma E Clay Mask. I'm still using the Hydrating Cleanser PR Sample from by box thay I received in January.  When I want to pamper my skin, I use the Hydrating Cleaser along with my Clarisonic.

I try to take very good care of my skin and these holy grail products keep my face looking refreshed, and hydrated!

Spring Inspired Makeup

Hello Everyone!

Finally it's Spring! I love this time of year. Warmer weather, pastel colors, and pretty flowers are all the things I look forward to during this time of year. This Spring I'm going to incorporate more peach colors in my makeup looks. Here's a Spring Inspired look that I created yesterday.

St. Patrick's Day Eye Makeup

Happy St Patrick's Day! ☘

If you're familiar with my blog, you know that I usually share a St. Patrick's Day Eye Makeup look.

Makeup Products

When I create brighter eye makeup looks I typically reach for my NYX Eyeshadow base in White (Not Pictured in makeup products)

On the part of the lid I used the lighter green shade in the Milani Palette, and for the rest of the lid and outer v, I went with a darker/vibrant green from the Pretty Lil Mz. Grace Palette. I blended the the shades into each other.

In the tear duct I used Fall for Me from the Pretty Lil Mz Grace Palette (white shade) I thought pairing this eye makeup look with a muted pink would look nice so, I went with Milani's Matte Lipstick in Blissful.

Aromatherapy Focus: Eucalyptus & Tea Body Wash & Foam Bath and Lotion

Hello Everyone!

Typically when I go to Bath and Body Works, I go straight to the candles lol, but I also like to check out the body care items. In January I picked up a few products from the Aromatherapy line during a $6.00 sale. I had some of my readers ask me to do review, so let's get started!

All product information is courtesy of

This fast-foaming body wash is infused with soothing skin conditioners, aloe & bamboo extract. An aromatherapy blend of essential oils & natural ingredients benefits body, mind & mood. Breathe deeply for best results.

Ultra-creamy, fast-absorbing body lotion with nourishing shea butter & Vitamin E is formulated to give skin long-lasting moisture. An aromatherapy blend of natural ingredients & essential oils benefits body, mind & mood. Breathe deeply for best results.

My Thoughts

Overall, I really like both products. I'm all for trying to maintain a peaceful balance in my life, but I'm a little unsure if breathing deeply while using these products is effective. Don't get me wrong I feel relaxed and rejuvinated when using both the foam wash and lotion.  These products are great to use for my nightly shower/bath and skincare routine.  The scent smells really nice. I smell tea, but it's not overpowering. Honestly I think this could be a unisex scent. It's not feminine or masculine, just a general eucalyptus tea scent.

As you can see from my picture, I like to use this foam wash in my bubble bath. I need to clarify the bubbles you see in my bubble bath photo are about half of the foam wash. I used another bubble bath to add more bubbles. Nonetheless, this is a good foam wash for a bubble bath or taking a shower. The foam wash lathers well and leaves my skin feeling soft. As for the lotion it's ok. My skin feels hydrated when I first apply the lotion, but over a few hours my skin doesn't feel as hydrated.  To prevent dryness I use extra lotion and that seems to help. I mentioned that I picked these products up during a $6.00, but you can also use your mailer coupons to get these free (depending on the value of the coupon).
